Eduardo José Rubio Parra (born 1994) is a Colombian artist based in Antwerp, Belgium. He graduated in 2022 from the Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany, with a degree in Fine Arts, and completed in 2023 a Masters' degree at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
In his artistic work, Rubio Parra seeks to create an aesthetic that serves as a bridge between the world he grew up in, and the worlds he has gotten to know. His artistic practice focuses on the creation of a world parallel to ours, in which the human condition is deeply explored. He's particularly interested in how we perceive death, the afterlife, supernatural phenomena, and the unknown. He gives these perceptions a form by creating an artwork. Even though his work is not limited to one specific medium, for the past years, he's been exploring what a 'drawing' is and what it can be.
