Philip Lovric develops nebulous landscapes directed towards the need in us for quiet, contemplation, and wonder. Ambiguous structures encourage our capacity for imagination, allowing the viewers to linger and themselves discover which relationship of form becomes pronounced and thus meaningful. The paintings are therefore presented as evocative environments for interaction between painting and the individuals own subjectivity. His process of painting celebrates the beauty of chance and the dance between material and actor, the paintings themselves musicality, spontaneity, intuition, and motion.
