Toneelhuis, het grootste stadstheater van Vlaanderen, is een huis van verschil, een ontmoetingsplaats voor eigenzinnige kunstenaars, artistieke disciplines en diverse publieken. In de historische Bourlaschouwburg in het centrum van Antwerpen biedt Toneelhuis onderdak aan heel verschillende theatermakers die eigentijds en innovatief werk maken met een internationale uitstraling. Hun artistieke verscheidenheid is een afspiegeling van de veelheid aan posities die onze tijd en onze samenleving kenmerkt. De Toneelhuismakers creëren hun voorstellingen voor de Bourla, voor specifieke locaties en voor theaters in binnen- en buitenland.
Toneelhuis, the largest city theater in Flanders, is a house of difference, a meeting place for self-willed artists, artistic disciplines and diverse audiences. Located in the historic Bourlaschouwburg theater in the center of Antwerp, Toneelhuis provides a home for very different theater makers who produce contemporary and innovative work with an international appeal. Their artistic diversity is a reflection of the multitude of positions that characterise our time and our society. The Toneelhuis creators create their performances for the Bourla, for specific locations and for theaters in Belgium and abroad.
