As a young maker I question how we look and remember the world, how we nurture it with care while simultaneously imposing control on it. This tension between reverence and domination is what shapes our relationship with the natural world, inviting us to reflect on the ways we engage with and define it. This translates itself in a variety of installations, sculptures and photographs. Themes and thoughts of archaeological, ecological and philosophic kind shape my evolving practice.

In mijn werk tast ik de grens af tussen het figuratieve en het abstracte. Als schilder ben ik een verteller en een vertaler. Mijn werken zijn reducties en impressies die reflecteren op wie ik ben, wat ik voel en waar ik ben geweest. De schilderkunst vormt voor mij een directe dialoog met de omgeving en mijn eigen innerlijke wereld. Door mijn intuïtieve, niet-lineaire werkwijze ontstaan schilderijen die elkaar beïnvloeden en een groter geheel vormen.
