Ik ga je laten ontplooien door je te tekenen en te boetseren om al deze herinneringen van je terug naar boven te halen.
Alles waarmee ik tot je ben aangetrokken.
Via decorstukken, beelden en tekeningen zal er een rode wereld ontstaan — jij, de stad van de pure en hartstochtelijke liefde.
We dansen samen, waardoor de zee opgewekt wordt en de warme, rode gloed tussen ons heen en weer stroomt.
Ik kan niet wachten om je terug te zien.
Ik kan niet wachten om je uit de rode mist te zien opdoemen.
Want elke keer ontdek en herontdek ik je opnieuw.
Voor mij ben je onuitputtelijk.

Zhang Feiran (b.China, 2002) is an artist currently based in Shanghai. Her practice explores how connections are formed between people. Her work often unfolds through the unreliable narratives of spirituality, mythology, and femininity。

Undercurrent of Words drifts between clarity and fiction — a narration she discovered during her master’s studies. Rather than sealing meaning into fixed forms, the project turns toward delay, distortion, and unspeakability as gestures in themselves. What is forgotten, misunderstood, or submerged becomes material. They may brush against the shadows of history through circuitous and ambiguous words and movements.
She weaves language in a stuttering tone, leaving faint coordinates for what has long sunk beneath the river of speech.

Vladimir Carpay is a 22-year-old visual artist who recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Visual Arts. His work explores youth culture and contemporary visual expression through the use of 3D software, often in collaboration with other mediums.

An illustrator, doodler, fiddler, and “pruller” in general. My attention has shifted from flat paper to three-dimensional space. I mess with humor, amusement, and spontaneity, often accompanied by playful indecency or critical and sharp irony.
My masks are new, contemporary folkloric figures. Using humor as a strategy, these figures highlight current themes. They criticize them, blow them up, twist them around and question the ways we deal with them. By turning these figures into hand-made, wearable masks, those themes become physical and tangible and suddenly seem not that far from home.

Through photography, these exaggerated and sometimes absurd reflections of today’s world are placed in familiar, everyday settings. This makes them into living, believable characters, a bit too alive for comfort. Who are these creatures? Why do they look like they do? Do they belong here? Are they even real?

De filmwerken van Wout Van Ackere & Richard Klapwijk vervaagt de grens tussen film en installatie. Ze beginnen telkens met een installatie dat decor wordt voor een film die later opnieuw opduikt in een nieuwe installatie waarmee het proces weer van voor af aan begint.

Voor Kavka ontwikkelen ze een nieuw, klein lichtspektakel dat als een ademend element door de ruimte beweegt. Het licht beïnvloedt de film en de installatie, maar ook de manier waarop de bezoeker zich tot de ruimte verhoudt. Niets ligt volledig vast; het werk wordt telkens opnieuw gevormd door de ruimte, door de makers, en door iedereen die binnenstapt.

In hun opstellingen krijgt de toeschouwer geen vaste positie. Wie kijkt, kan zonder het te willen deel worden van de situatie, een verschuiving veroorzaken of het ritme van het geheel veranderen. De installaties worden ruimtes waarin beeld, aanwezigheid, beweging en licht voortdurend op elkaar reageren.

I am fascinated by the small, almost-forgotten recognitions, drenched in the obvious, yet cooled in their commonness. In the past, I have immersed myself in studying the range of products in night shops, analyzing Swedish riddles, enigmatic handwriting, empty notebooks… I am drawn to the temporality of found materials, lost scraps of paper, abandoned writings, other people’s photographs. Discarded by their former owners, they are given a new life within my work.
